With a redefined portfolio, the company focuses on the market and wins contracts in strategic sectors of the economy. Starting January 2008, Siemens will begin operating under a new organizational structure comprising three sectors: Industry, Energy and Healthcare.
To demonstrate its abilities and technological solutions in answering difficult issues in the energy and environment, industry and healthcare fields, Siemens returns to the media with a new international campaign — “Siemens Answers”. Brazil is one of the first countries to launch the campaign starting November 10; in the beginning it will have three advertising pieces and strong presence in the on-line media.

In consonance with the Company’s global investment strategy, Siemens expands its power equipment production capacity and concentrates all its power production activities in Jundiaí, São Paulo. With a R$ 200 million investment, the new site positions itself as a global export and technology platform. The site comprises the largest equipment production facility in South America and the biggest transformer test field in Latin America. The inauguration ceremony that takes place today will include the presence of Brazil’s President, Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, federal, state and municipal government authorities, clients and employees
