Siemens has been in Brazil for over 100 years and is presently the biggest electric and electronics conglomerate in the country, with its activities grouped into three strategic sectors – Industry, Energy and Healthcare – while Siemens IT Solutions and Services is present across these three sectors.The Company’s first activities in the country date back to 1867, with the installation of the first telegraph line between the states of Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul. In 1895, in Rio de Janeiro, it opened its first office and ten years later Siemens was founded in Brazil. Over the past century, the Company has played a key role in building and modernizing the country’s infrastructure.
