The trail was inaugurated October 30, 2001 and pays homage to Siemens' former
president, Mr. Hermann Heinemann Wever. The Hermann Wever Ecologic Trail is
located at the Anhangüera site and possesses a total area of 113 thousand square
meters, of which 85 thousand is of flora and, of that total, 45 thousand square
meters of preserved Atlantic Rain Forest.
Juçara, Cedro-rosa and Tapiá are just a few of the plant species seen along the
Trail, which initially opened to receive school trips. The trail monitors are former
Siemens employees that retired. They provide information and show the different
tree-shrub species to visitors, with special emphasis on the 25 catalogued species.
